Security & Licenses

MSB is licensed and regulated. We take our responsibility to protect your funds and data seriously.

About MSB's Authorisation

MSB is a licensed electronic money institution. We operate under regulatory oversight designed to protect consumers and maintain the integrity of the financial system.

Our licences and registrations are placeholder entries for development purposes. Actual regulatory details will be provided before production launch following legal review and confirmation with the relevant authorities.

Security Measures

We use industry-standard security controls to protect your account and funds:

  • Strong authentication: Two-factor authentication (2FA) via TOTP, SMS, or passkey is available and encouraged for all accounts.
  • Encryption in transit: All communications between your device and MSB use TLS 1.2 or higher.
  • Encryption at rest: Sensitive data is encrypted at rest using AES-256.
  • Fraud monitoring: Automated transaction monitoring flags unusual activity in real time.
  • Penetration testing: We engage independent security firms to conduct regular penetration testing of our systems.
  • Vulnerability disclosure: We operate a responsible disclosure programme. Please contact security@msb.com to report any vulnerabilities.

Fund Protection

Customer funds held at MSB are safeguarded in accordance with the Electronic Money Regulations. This means:

  • Your funds are held in segregated accounts, separate from MSB's own funds.
  • In the unlikely event that MSB were to face financial difficulties, safeguarded funds would be ring-fenced and returned to you.
  • Safeguarding applies to all fiat balances. Crypto assets are held in segregated custody wallets.
