Multi-currency accounts explained
What is a multi-currency account?
A multi-currency account lets you hold, receive, and send money in multiple currencies without converting between them every time you make a transaction.
With MSB, you can hold balances in:
- EUR — Euro
- USD — US Dollar
- GBP — British Pound
- PLN — Polish Zloty
- And more currencies as we expand coverage
How balances work
Each currency you hold has its own separate balance. When you receive a payment in EUR, it goes into your EUR balance. When you receive USD, it goes into your USD balance.
You only convert currency when you choose to — there are no forced conversions.
IBAN and SWIFT details
For supported currencies, you receive a dedicated IBAN and SWIFT code. This means counterparties can send you money as a domestic transfer, avoiding international wire fees.
To view your IBAN details:
- Log in to your account
- Go to Dashboard > [Currency] account
- Select Account details to see your IBAN and SWIFT codes
Converting between currencies
To convert funds between currencies:
- Navigate to FX > Convert
- Select the source and target currencies
- Enter the amount
- Review the exchange rate and fee
- Confirm the conversion
The conversion rate is shown before you confirm. Rates are indicative and based on current market conditions. See our rates page for live indicative rates.
When does money convert automatically?
MSB does not automatically convert currencies. You always remain in control of when and at what rate your money is converted.
